Government assistance for companies

There is a great variety of different types of aid available to companies in France. These offer financial support for a very large number of different projects. They depend on the characteristics of the projects (productive investment, job creation, innovation, training etc.), their location (whether or not they are in priority development areas), and the type of company conducting them (large enterprise or SME).
All types of aid available in France are subject to EU regulations regarding maximum aid intensity, eligible expenditure and the rules governing simultaneous application of different types of assistance. These regulations must be respected by all EU member states without exception, and by candidate countries for accession to the EU.
