Employment
French labour law
As an industrialized country, France has social security legislation that protects the rights of employees, but is also suited to the economic realities of companies. Labour relations in each branch of industry are governed by the employment regulations and collective bargaining agreements. Profit sharing and employee share ownership is encouraged by tax and social security exemptions. The working hours and size of the workforce can be adapted to production requirements.
